- ★ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆Bad customer service!!! Especially for first time DL, they made my son come back 3x and asked for ridiculous amounts of paperwork for him. He's 18 by the way. I had even made an appointment and they told us we needed to have a photo ID for first time DL. Really the only thing you need is birth certificate, ss card, and two proofs of address. I had scanned IDs for him and lots of other supporting docs- on my google drive- we showed and they said it was okay, but they needed a physical copy. So we went to Copier store next door and printed physical copies only to be told NO come back another time. Terrible place!!!!By Jenna LMFT, May 19, 2017
- ★ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆Didn't give me a number until I had filled out a new application form to renew my driver's license. After 45 minutes, I asked for an estimate of how much longer the wait would be, the clerk said "maybe an hour. there is no guarantee." Then the only man in the place said in a very loud voice, "Its only an estimate, no guarantee!" Well, I wasn't speaking to him. He was being a jerk and trying to intimidate me for asking a question. I got the impression that I was being punished for not having an appointment. After an hour, I gave up and went home. I went on the DMV site to make an appointment and couldn't until June 26, (on June 8.) Maybe they need more staff and a better attitude. - ★ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆I tried to go yesterday. It has become a nightmare of a skeleton crew in Novato. It's quite obvious that if there were more employees on staff, there wouldn't be 2-hour wait times. Tried to call to make an appointment and the robot that answered said it would be about 45 mins before I would be speaking to a human. Now, I will have to go to Petaluma and try my luck there.By laxpaint, November 03, 2016
